The induction of 58 modern Mini Water Tender with Mist Technology in the Jharkhand fire‑service fleet will be a vital step towards modernising, strengthening and making the state's fire safety and disaster response system effective. In fire incidents every moment is crucial. The faster the fire‑fighting team reaches the site and starts action, the higher the chance of saving human lives and property. Considering narrow lanes of urban areas, densely populated zones and the conditions of rural and remote areas, these modern compact Mini Water Tenders will prove extremely useful and supportive in rapid fire‑fighting response. These remarks were made by Chief Minister Hemant Soren today at the Central Training Institute, Home Guard Wing, Dhurva Ranchi, addressing the launch of 58 new fire‑fighting vehicles as part of the modernization of Jharkhand fire service. MLA Mrs. Kalpana Soren was also present. The modern fire safety system is extremely necessary at present. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that today 58 Mini Water Tenders with Mist Technology are being launched. As you all know, fire safety is essential in the current scenario. The government's effort is to make fire services in the state modern and robust; a small demo was shown here on how fire incidents occur and how they can be controlled. He said that sometimes people adopt makeshift measures at the local level to tackle fire incidents, which can lead to heavy losses. He said that establishing a quick‑response system in cities and remote rural areas, where road access for large fire‑brigs is difficult, is a major challenge. Fire‑fighting processes vary. He emphasized that this launch is not merely about adding 58 vehicles to the fire‑fighting service but symbolizes the Jharkhand government’s commitment to the lives, property and safety of citizens. Now fire‑fighting services will reach remote areas. The Chief Minister said that a small stall is also set up at the launch venue displaying various fire‑fighting related items. In narrow lanes where large fire‑brigades cannot reach, modern fire‑service vehicles will now be able to reach. He mentioned various possible causes of fire, such as gas cylinder explosions, short circuits, etc., and that even large commercial establishments can be affected. He said that Mist Technology will help establish effective control over fire and assist in efficient use of water resources. This will strengthen our first‑response capability and help provide swift safety to citizens during emergencies. Fire‑fighting personnel are not limited to extinguishing fires but also save lives of those trapped. He praised the fire‑fighting department and its personnel for their courage, dedication and duty. He stated that protecting citizens’ lives and property without regard for one’s own life during fire and disaster is a highly risky yet commendable service. For the safety of common citizens another link has been added. He urged that we be able to control fire incidents promptly wherever they occur. He called for collective resolve to build a safe, strong and disaster‑resilient Jharkhand, extending heartfelt good wishes to all. Thank you.
