Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren today held a high-level meeting with senior administrative and police officials in view of the security system of the state in view of the current national conditions and scenario at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office at Kanke Road, Ranchi. In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren said that national security is one of the top priorities. In view of the security situation across the country, the safety of every person in Jharkhand should be ensured. The Chief Minister told the officials to keep special focus on strengthening essential civil services and by making a better action plan, all kinds of precautionary steps related to the safety of the people of the state should be taken soon. He told the officials to ensure that no panic situation arises among the common people in the state. The Chief Minister directed the officials to stop rumors at all costs. Strict action should be taken against those anti-social elements who work to spoil the atmosphere by sending false and misleading messages. Identify those involved in anti-national activities and those who exchange wrong messages on social sites and take legal action against them.
Take work from civil defence volunteers, increase their number as per requirement
The Chief Minister directed the officials to activate civil defence volunteers in the state and increase the number of civil defence volunteers as per requirement. Prepare an action plan for better security arrangements by establishing coordination with the institutions working in the field of civil defence. He said that special training should be given to civil defence volunteers on topics like quick relief, rescue work, public awareness and community capacity building.
Activate control rooms in all districts
The Chief Minister directed the officials to activate the state level control room as well as the district level control room. He told the officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the security of all small and big PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) within the state. The Chief Minister directed the officials to install medical sign boards on the rooftops of all hospitals.

▪️MHA has instructed to use emergency provisions under Civil Defence Rules. Especially in any purchase, by skipping the tender process.
▪️The number of mock drills should be increased.
▪️Preparations should be made to maintain essential services.
▪️Special attention should be paid to essential commodities. There should be absolutely no hoarding.
▪️The hospital should be kept ready.
▪️Special attention should be paid to the security of important places like dams, plants, UCIL, power houses, IOC, etc.
▪️Contact NGOs and other civil defence volunteers and get them ready.
▪️Preparations for fire stations should be made in the district.
▪️In case the mobile fails, a PA system should be prepared.
