The Chief Secretary has instructed the IT Department to ensure the e-office system is 100% error-free. This directive was issued following a detailed discussion with heads of various state government departments regarding the successful implementation of the system. The Jharkhand government is moving towards digitizing all its operations, and the IT Department has begun work on an action plan. The Chief Secretary emphasized completing the e-office system by January 2026. Technical experts from RailTel, NIC, and JAPIT, who presented the implementation approach, were directed to create a timeline for its execution. She stressed the importance of protecting files from cyber fraud and ensuring a smooth technical setup to avoid delays. Furthermore, she suggested enabling e-office functionality from external locations. The initial step involves scanning and uploading all old files as PDF files. The Chief Secretary was reviewing the progress of the e-office light implementation on Monday.
