Preparations are complete for the Dashakarma of Jharkhand’s former Chief Minister and Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. The event will be conducted on August 15th, following Santhali traditions, with Sanskar Bhoj to follow on August 16th. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his family, completed the traditional rituals on Thursday for the peace of the departed soul. Discussions and consultations regarding the Shraddha ceremony were held with Deepmani Soren, a senior family member.
The Sanskar Bhoj is expected to be attended by prominent figures from across the state and country. Administrative arrangements for the feast are nearly finalized. Multiple locations, including Lukaiyatand, have been designated for vehicle parking. Three helipads are ready at Lukaiyatand, with a fourth constructed in front of the ancestral home. Security will be managed by 10 IPS officers, 60 DSPs, 65 inspectors, and approximately 2500+ police personnel. The district administration will be on high alert to maintain law and order. Teams of police, administration, and volunteers will be active around the clock to manage traffic, emergency services, and crowd control.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren reviewed the preparations for the Shraddha Karma of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. He toured the entire venue in an e-rickshaw, meticulously overseeing the arrangements in each pandal. The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure adequate provisions for security, cleanliness, drinking water, parking, tents, seating arrangements, and toilets for the public. He also emphasized the need for a traffic management plan to avoid any inconvenience. The Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, senior officials from the district administration, officers from various departments, and residents of Nemra village were present on the occasion.
