CM Hemant Soren Seeks Relief After PMLA Court Rejects Petition

Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approached the Jharkhand High Court after the PMLA special court turned down his discharge petition in the Badgai land fraud matter. The petition was dismissed on June 8, and the state government argues that the decision was premature. The Enforcement Directorate has already framed charges against more than a dozen suspects, including revenue officer Bhanuprasad Pratap, Antu Tirkie, and Vinod Kumar Singh. The High Court will now examine whether the lower court erred in its judgment.
