Day‑time Bank Raid in Jharkhand: 5 Thieves Seize Cash and Gold

On a Thursday morning, the Kenra Bank branch in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, became the target of a coordinated daylight raid. Five armed thieves broke into the bank almost as soon as it opened, threatening employees with guns and taking command of the floor. They quickly gathered about ₹50 lakh in cash and a sizable amount of gold jewellery stored on the premises. The criminals exited the building on foot, disappearing into the surrounding area and leaving a scene of chaos. Police units from the Golmuri police station arrived within minutes, cordoning off the area and seizing surveillance footage. The law‑enforcement team is now analyzing the video, questioning bank staff and local residents, and working to determine the exact quantity and value of the stolen gold.
