The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized ₹15 lakhs in cash and several documents during raids on locations linked to former MLA Anba Prasad and her associates. The raids also uncovered documents related to the alleged illegal sand business activities of Anba’s brother, Ankit Raj, and father, Yogendra Sav. The ED is also questioning CA Badal Goyal, from whose premises ₹15 lakhs and important documents were recovered. The investigation also involved a raid at the residence of Mantu Soni, a close associate of Anba’s family, located in Hazaribagh. The ED conducted raids at a total of eight locations of six individuals including the former MLA, her personal assistant (PA), and a chartered accountant (CA), along with petrol pump owners and sand traders. This marks the second instance of raids on the former MLA and her associates. The ED initiated these raids on Friday morning in Ranchi and Hazaribagh, targeting the premises of Anba Prasad, her CA Badal Goyal, PA Sanjeet Kumar, petrol pump owner Prem Singh, sand trader Manoj Dangi, and Pancham Kumar. The ED had previously conducted raids on March 18, 2024, based on which these subsequent raids were carried out. The ED has incorporated over 12 FIRs filed against former MLA Anba Prasad and her family members in its Economic Offenses Information Report (ECIR), which includes charges of extortion, land grabbing, obstructing NTPC work, and forming the banned organization called Tiger Group.
