Following reports of Education Minister Ramdas Soren’s illness, rumors and misinformation regarding his health began circulating on social media. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) spokesperson Kunal Sharangi has appealed to the public to refrain from sharing unverified information. He urged against sharing posts that could be hurtful or create confusion, especially for the affected family. Sharangi also requested that people pray for the minister’s swift recovery. Sharangi mentioned that he has arrived in Delhi and will meet with doctors to ascertain the accurate details of the situation. News of the minister’s illness and his subsequent airlifting to Apollo Hospital in Delhi caused a stir in political circles. Some leaders and individuals on social media prematurely offered condolences to Minister Soren before any official confirmation. Senior JMM leaders, along with members from the BJP and other political parties, were among those who posted tributes. A photo of JMM Chief Whip Mathura Prasad Mahato offering silent tribute to Minister Soren also went viral on social media. Former minister Saryu Roy and other political figures also shared posts expressing condolences or tributes on social media. Realizing that Minister Soren’s condition was currently stable, many deleted their posts, leading to confusion among the public regarding the minister’s health.
