A shocking incident of brutal murder has come to light in Ambatanr, Dhanwar police station area of Giridih. The victim, identified as Shanti Devi, 62, wife of Ganga Singh, was found deceased on Friday. The gruesome act is believed to have occurred late Thursday night. Police have recovered the body and are conducting further investigations. Dhanwar Station House Officer Satyendra Pal confirmed the murder. Senior police officials, including Khorimahua SDPO Rajendra Prasad, along with teams from Ghodthamba, Jamua, and Hirodih police stations, arrived at the scene. A suspect has been taken into custody and is currently being interrogated as authorities meticulously investigate the crime’s sequence. Preliminary reports suggest the assailant attacked Shanti Devi with a sharp weapon, severing her head from her body. The perpetrator fled the scene after the brutal attack. The victim’s family is in deep shock, and the local community is outraged, demanding swift arrest and stringent punishment for the culprits. A formal complaint has been lodged with the police, leading to the current suspect’s detention and ongoing questioning.
