Security forces conducted an operation in the dense forests of Rogri Toli in the Bishunpur police station area of Gumla district, Jharkhand. The operation resulted in an encounter with Naxalites, leading to the death of three individuals. The security forces have been consistently conducting operations across Jharkhand to eliminate Naxalism and extremism. The encounter took place on Wednesday morning when a joint team of Gumla police and Jharkhand Jaguar initiated a search operation. The Naxalites, belonging to the outlawed Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), were reportedly planning a major criminal act. During the search, the Naxalites opened fire on the police team. In the ensuing exchange, security forces neutralized three extremists.
