A dispute over a mere 50 rupees led to a fatal altercation between two friends in the Giridih district of Jharkhand. The incident resulted in the death of Anoul Ansari, who was brutally murdered by his friend, Maksood Ansari. The Superintendent of Police (SDPO) of Giridih, Jitvahan Oraon, confirmed the arrest of the accused, Maksood Ansari, and revealed details of the crime. The SDPO explained that the murder occurred on the night of August 31st near the Mundradih mosque in the Bengabad police station area. The altercation arose from a financial disagreement. Maksood Ansari attacked and killed Anoul with a knife. A case was registered at the Bengabad police station, prompting the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) by the Superintendent of Police. Utilizing technical analysis, the SIT apprehended Maksood Ansari from the Ashgandho forest and recovered the murder weapon. Further investigation is ongoing to determine if others were involved in the crime. The victim, Anoul Ansari, had borrowed ₹200 from Maksood Ansari. On the day of the incident, he returned ₹150 of the debt. However, the remaining ₹50 sparked a dispute, escalating into a physical fight that ultimately led to the tragic outcome.
Maksood Ansari repeatedly stabbed Anoul Ansari, severely injuring him, which later resulted in his death. After committing the crime, Maksood Ansari went into hiding. The SIT team of Giridih police arrested him. The incident of a friend killing a friend has become a topic of discussion throughout the city.
