In the Tapkara police station area of Khunti, Jharkhand, a 15-year-old girl was murdered by her boyfriend who entered her home. The boyfriend entered the girl’s house and brutally murdered her with a knife, in front of her mother. The incident caused a stir in the entire area. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Tapkara police reached the spot, took possession of the deceased girl’s body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
Police have arrested the girl’s boyfriend, Premchand Sahu. According to information, Premchand Sahu, a resident of Lapung police station area, and the girl, a resident of Tapkara police station area in Khunti, connected on Facebook about two years ago. They became friends on social media, and their friendship gradually turned into love. They started meeting each other.
Premchand Sahu called his girlfriend to his home, promising to marry her. Then, they lived in a live-in relationship for about three to four months. However, the deceased girl found out that Premchand Sahu was already married. A dispute arose over this, after which the boyfriend, Premchand Sahu, beat up the minor girlfriend and started giving her various tortures. On September 6, the girlfriend left Premchand Sahu’s house and returned to her village, where she started living with her widowed mother.
On Saturday, September 20, Premchand Sahu found her at her house and started forcing her to come with him. When the girl repeatedly refused, Premchand became enraged and started fighting with the girlfriend as well as her mother. Premchand was holding a sharp weapon. Both the mother and daughter tried to stop him, but Premchand caught the girlfriend and stabbed her with a knife in front of her mother’s eyes.
After the knife attack, the girl was seriously injured. She was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition with the help of local villagers, but the doctors declared her dead. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and sent the girl’s body to Sadar Hospital Khunti for a post-mortem examination. Premchand Sahu, the accused in the murder, a resident of Lapung police station area, was also arrested.
