He stressed the need for human empathy, trust, and a sense of belonging in cancer treatment, alongside medication. The Governor also discussed the significance of timely diagnosis and treatment, especially in a state like Jharkhand, where access to healthcare in remote areas remains a challenge. He lauded the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme as a revolutionary initiative, enabling free and quality treatment for the underprivileged. He called for collaboration among doctors, hospitals, the state government, and society to ensure the scheme’s success.
