The Meteorological Department has announced the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall across various districts of Jharkhand until July 9th. The department also forecasts heavy rainfall in certain areas of the southern-western districts, including East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Saraikela-Kharsawan on July 7th. Thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, gusting at 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, are also expected in parts of the state, prompting a Yellow Alert. Over the past 24 hours, Saraikela recorded the highest rainfall at 73 mm. Other regions also experienced rainfall, including 60.8 mm in Bandgaon, 56.8 mm in Palakot, 55 mm in Fatehpur, 52.6 mm in Kharsawan, 44.6 mm in Baharagora, 42.4 mm in Dhalbhumgarh, 39.4 mm in Ghoda Banda, 39 mm in Chaibasa, 34.6 mm in Rania, and 33 mm in Chainpur. Ranchi and its surrounding areas experienced rainfall throughout Sunday morning. Sunday’s maximum temperatures were recorded at 27.7 degrees Celsius in Ranchi, 31.5 degrees Celsius in Jamshedpur, 32.8 degrees Celsius in Daltonganj, 31.1 degrees Celsius in Bokaro, and 29.4 degrees Celsius in Chaibasa.
