Heavy rainfall in Jharkhand has severely affected daily life across the state. Many districts are experiencing damaged infrastructure, including broken bridges and overflowing rivers and streams. Several localities, including parts of the capital city, are submerged. According to meteorological data, the state has received 88% more rainfall than average from June 1st to June 30th. Ranchi has recorded the highest rainfall, with 213% above average. Heavy rainfall has been observed in 19 out of 24 districts during the monsoon season. The weather department forecasts continued heavy rainfall until July 6th.
