In the Sikidiri police station area of Ranchi, Jharkhand, a man died by suicide after ingesting pesticide. The deceased, identified as Nitla Ganjhu, had a strained relationship with his wife, stemming from his alcohol consumption. The wife frequently objected to his drinking habits, leading to regular arguments. On the day of the incident, a disagreement erupted between the couple about his drinking. Following the argument, the wife left for the market, and Nitla, left alone, consumed the pesticide. By the time his wife returned, he had passed away. Police investigation revealed that the deceased also had a history of mental instability and had attempted suicide previously.
