The couple’s relationship, which began with mutual love and trust, was shattered by the intrusion of a third person. Rinku Sahu, residing in the Sisai block, organized the wedding of his wife, Urmila Kumari, to her boyfriend, and subsequently bid them farewell. Rinku was aware of his wife’s affair and had tried to dissuade her, considering their three-year-old daughter. Despite his pleas, Urmila was determined to pursue her relationship with her lover.
One night, Urmila attempted to secretly leave the house, but her husband, Rinku, noticed her. He raised an alarm, gathering the entire village. In front of the villagers, he had his wife marry her lover and then sent them away together.
Rinku Sahu and Urmila Kumari had been married for approximately five years and had a daughter.
