The southwest monsoon, which arrived in Kerala a week earlier this year, experienced a lull initially. However, it has now regained momentum. On Wednesday, the southwest monsoon advanced into eastern Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Due to the monsoon’s influence, heavy rainfall is occurring in over 20 states, including the Northeast, central, east, west, and south India. Several states are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next two to five days.
Pre-monsoon showers are currently being observed in several states, including the national capital. According to the weather department, the monsoon is expected to enter Delhi-NCR between June 20th and 23rd. Today in Delhi, the sky will generally be overcast with moderate rainfall. Furthermore, rain is expected to continue in Delhi until June 25th, with thunderstorms and lightning also anticipated.
