A tragic incident unfolded in the Sakchi police station area of East Singhbhum, where a 23-year-old man, Karan Ram, was found dead in his rented room. Karan, originally from Nainital, Uttarakhand, had been residing in Kashidih for an extended period. He was discovered on Sunday night, having apparently taken his own life by hanging. The victim had no immediate family in the area and was reportedly in a relationship with a 14-year-old minor.
Authorities suspect a dispute between Karan and the minor may have preceded the tragic event. Neighbors reported that Karan was living as a tenant in the house of a local resident named Deepu. On Monday morning, the landlord became concerned when Karan did not respond to repeated calls at his door. Noticing the prolonged silence, the landlord alerted the Sakchi police.
Upon arrival, officers were compelled to break down the door to gain entry. Inside, they discovered Karan Ram’s lifeless body hanging from a rope. The body has since been sent to MGM Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations and inquiries with those in the vicinity have indicated the existence of the relationship that may have led to this devastating outcome. Police are continuing their thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Karan’s death.
