A 42-year-old jawan, Mansoor Alam, employed as a driver in the police line, died by suicide after consuming sulfas. Alam had been under stress due to his suspension from duty for some time. Before taking his life, Alam released a video where he blamed two station in-charges for his death, accusing them of falsely implicating him and causing his suspension. Last night, Alam, residing in the police line barracks, informed his colleagues that he had ingested poison. Upon receiving the information, fellow jawans immediately rushed to his barrack and took him to Sadar Hospital Koderma in critical condition. After initial treatment, the doctors referred him to RIMS, Ranchi, due to the severity of his condition, but Alam passed away during treatment. His wife stated that Mansoor Alam had been under severe stress for a while. He had been suspended for the past three months and had faced suspension twice within four months. In the video released before his suicide, Mansoor Alam accused Jaynagar station in-charge Bablu Singh and Domchanch station in-charge Om Prakash Yadav of falsely accusing him and causing his suspension, holding them responsible for his death.
