Chief Minister Hemant Soren officially opened the 5-day Jharkhand IAS Officers Wives Association (JESOW A) Diwali Mela 2025 at Morahabadi Maidan in Ranchi on Thursday. MLA Kalpana Soren was also present at the inauguration. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Soren highlighted JESOW A’s long-standing commitment to public welfare since its inception, noting that the organization is celebrating its silver jubilee this year. The traditional grand Diwali Mela, a hallmark of enthusiasm and joy, is once again being held at the historic Morahabadi Maidan for five days.
The primary objective of the JESOW A Mela, as emphasized by the Chief Minister, is to dedicate all proceeds generated from the event to the welfare of the poor and needy, as well as other social upliftment activities. The organization is actively engaged in commendable work in the fields of education and health. Today’s event also saw the distribution of awards to individuals recognized for their outstanding social contributions and the inauguration of a library.
Chief Minister Soren acknowledged that while various organizations host festivals and melas with different objectives, JESOW A’s consistent dedication to serving the underprivileged since its early days is particularly praiseworthy. He extended his best wishes to all JESOW A members and officials for their noble social endeavors, expressing hope that their efforts and services continue to benefit those in need. He concluded by offering his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the successful organization of the JESOW A Mela 2025.
Following the inauguration, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, and other distinguished guests toured the mela grounds. MLA Kalpana Soren also conveyed her best wishes to the JESOW A members for a successful Diwali Mela.
