Jharkhand's Big Support for Assam Flood Victims, Chief Minister Hemant Soren Contributes ₹3 Crore

Ranchi. In view of the devastating floods in Assam, the Jharkhand government, in a humanitarian initiative, has provided assistance of ₹3 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Assam. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has assured the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, of full solidarity and support from the state by writing a letter in this regard. The Chief Minister stated in his letter that Assam is currently facing a severe crisis due to the devastating floods, which have caused heavy loss of life and property and rendered thousands homeless. It is our moral obligation to stand with the people of Assam during this difficult time. He said that the Jharkhand government and the citizens of the state express their deep condolences to the flood-affected people and are committed to providing all possible cooperation in relief and rehabilitation efforts. In this spirit, the state government has decided to provide assistance of ₹3 crore. Chief Minister Soren has also appealed to the capable citizens of Jharkhand to come forward and help the flood victims of Assam. Appreciating the courage and patience of the people of Assam, he said that even in this adverse situation, they are supporting each other. In the letter, he prayed to Maa Kamakhya for Assam to soon recover from this disaster and return to normal life. He also assured that if any additional assistance is needed in the future, the Jharkhand government will be ready to provide all possible cooperation. Finally, on behalf of the people of Jharkhand, the Chief Minister expressed deep sympathy to all the affected families in Assam, stating that in this hour of crisis, everyone should prioritize humanity.
