Minister Chamra Linda has ordered an immediate acceleration of the state's bicycle distribution scheme, targeting a 50% completion rate within the next 30 days. While reviewing the progress of various welfare initiatives, the Minister noted that improving student mobility is essential for reducing school dropout rates, particularly in rural and tribal regions. The directive is part of a larger strategy to enhance educational access across Jharkhand. In addition to the logistics of cycle distribution, the Minister scrutinized the scholarship timelines, insisting on a December payout deadline for the 2026-27 session. The review meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Secretary and Special Secretary of the Welfare Department, who were tasked with ensuring that these essential resources reach students in a transparent and efficient manner, thereby supporting their continued education.
