In Koderma, the ‘Anand Sabke Liye’ (Joy for All) program saw a heartwarming Diwali celebration organized by the Prerna Branch of Marwari Yuva Manch, Jhumritilaiya. Held at the Anganwadi center in Harijan Tola, on Devi Mandap Road, the event focused on spreading festive cheer. Children were treated to sweets, gifts, and essential supplies, making their Diwali brighter. The little ones gleefully lit sparklers, immersing themselves in the festive spirit. The event’s chief guest, former Zila Parishad President Shalini Gupta, emphasized the true meaning of festivals lies in celebrating with the less fortunate. She highlighted that sharing happiness is the essence of social service and fosters empathy and responsibility in children. Gupta also urged the community to support local potters by purchasing earthen diyas, preserving their livelihood and traditional craft. Indra Dev Ram, District President of the Dalit Utpidan Sangharsh Samiti, lauded the Prerna Branch for its consistent social commitment during significant occasions. Arvind Choudhary, an executive member of the Agrawal Samaj, acknowledged the Prerna Branch’s dedication to serving the most vulnerable in society. Sarika Laddha, President of the Prerna Branch, shared that the organization has been actively engaged in social and religious service for the past three years. Plans are also underway to celebrate Diwali week by distributing essentials at an old age home, extending the festival’s warmth to the elderly.
