Koderma’s Railway Station Kali Temple recently celebrated its annual Kali Puja festival with immense devotion and grandeur. The two-day event featured vibrant evening prayers followed by a spectacular devotional concert, known as ‘Jagran’. Local artists, alongside talented performers from outside the region, mesmerized the attendees with their soulful renditions, immersing everyone in a spiritual atmosphere.
The evening commenced with a Ganesh Vandana, beautifully sung by Munna Bhadani. Vinod Chaurasia then ignited the crowd with popular devotional songs, compelling devotees to sway to the music. A series of captivating bhajans followed, with performances by Raja Chaurasia, Anuradha Singh, Kshama Sonkar, and Anand Singh. The musical accompaniment, featuring organ by Vishal Kapshima, dholak by Bablu Pandey, and other instruments played by visiting artists, significantly amplified the event’s magnificence.
After the evening Aarti, a special offering was made to Goddess Kali, followed by an elaborate feast (‘Bhandara’) that served thousands of devotees. The air was filled with ecstatic chants of ‘Jai Kali Maa’, enhancing the devotional ambiance.
This annual celebration is organized with deep faith and dedication to spread messages of spirituality, unity, and harmony within the community. The Kali Puja rituals were expertly conducted by the temple priest, Vijaykant Upadhyay, who also initiated the proceedings with the sacred flame of Goddess Kali.
