Kuldeep Dwivedi, a dynamic Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the Jharkhand cadre, has been appointed as a Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). An official notification regarding this appointment was issued on Tuesday by the Department of Personnel and Training. Dwivedi, an IPS officer of the 2005 batch, will serve until January 17, 2026, completing a five-year deputation period, or until further orders. Similarly, C. Venkat Subba Reddy, IPS (Assam-Meghalaya cadre, 2007 batch), DIG, CBI, has also been appointed as Joint Director of the CBI. His tenure will last until October 29, 2029, upon completion of a five-year deputation, or until further orders. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the appointments of both senior IPS officers as Joint Directors in the CBI, as per the notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
