Land Dispute Turns Deadly: Axe Murder of Three Family Members in Bokaro
The tranquil hamlet of Kukurlilwa in Bokaro district was rocked by a gruesome triple homicide that appears to stem from a protracted land disagreement. Local reports indicate that after a minor altercation, neighbour Raju Singh seized a heavy axe and launched a savage attack on Janaki Mahoto, his wife Sugi Devi and their daughter-in-law Gauri Devi. The senior couple died at the scene; Gauri sustained severe injuries and later died despite emergency medical care. Law enforcement arrived within minutes, recovered the axe, and placed Singh in custody. A post-mortem team is examining the bodies while the police forensic unit gathers evidence. Community leaders have called for calm and thorough investigation as tensions rise.
