Late Havaldar Gouri Badaike Honored with Police Farewell Ceremony

Havaldar Gouri Badaike, a 58-year-old officer with the Jharkhand Police, has passed away after receiving medical care at the Runia Community Health Centre on Tuesday. Her death has triggered an outpouring of mourning across the state’s law enforcement agencies.

The departed officer hailed from Kodakel village, located within the Runia police station jurisdiction in Khunti district. At the time of her passing, she was on official assignment in Giridich district. Her family revealed that her medical condition had worsened gradually over the past few days, prompting her to rest at home.

Emergency protocols were activated when she collapsed after slipping in her bathroom. Family members swiftly brought her to the Runia health centre. Doctors attempted life-saving measures, but the deteriorating health condition proved fatal.

Law enforcement officials, including Runia SHO Shyamal Kumbhakarna and SI Kanchan Kumari Kushwaha, promptly responded to the scene. They consulted with the grieving family, compiled the incident report, and ensured the safe transit of the body to Khunti Sadar Hospital for post-mortem analysis. The procedure was successfully completed before the body was returned to the relatives.

In honor of her service, the Police Association conducted a formal farewell at the Police Lines headquarters. Officers from various units gathered to pay their final respects, acknowledging the late Havaldar’s unwavering commitment to public safety.
