Lohardaga district is poised to become a leader in honey production, thanks to a recent three-day beekeeping training initiative. Organized by the Horticulture Department in Utka village, block of Kairo, the program saw Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kumar Tarachand in attendance. During the event, essential beekeeping equipment, including hives, boxes, and honey extractors, were distributed to 16 trained farmers. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of collective production for the district to achieve prominence in beekeeping. He also highlighted opportunities to boost income through integrated farming and animal husbandry, promising district administration support in finding markets for their produce.
