In Domkal police station area of Murshidabad district, West Bengal, a man named Siraj Mandal was apprehended following a raid at his residence in Ghodamara Nichintapur village. Acting on a tip-off, the Bengal police conducted a search and recovered a significant cache of illegal weapons and counterfeit currency. The search yielded four country-made pistols, a rifle, 312 live cartridges, 12 empty cartridges, and counterfeit notes valued at Rs 40,000. Police had been searching for Siraj Mandal for some time. After the arrest, the police are interrogating the suspect and investigating his potential associates. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at the Domkal police station, and the accused has been presented before the court and remanded in police custody for 14 days for further investigation.
