In a scene reminiscent of the film ‘Sholay,’ a man in Jharkhand’s Gumla district climbed a mobile tower, threatening to jump after a dispute with his father and brother over property. The incident caused widespread panic in the village. The man, identified as Ritesh Kumar Singh, remained on the 100-foot tower for over three hours, engaging in a high-voltage standoff with authorities. Police arrived at the scene and attempted to negotiate his descent. Ultimately, after extensive efforts, he was brought down but sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. The dispute stemmed from disagreements over the division of family assets. The man, reportedly addicted to drugs, had a heated argument with his wife before scaling the tower.
