A man identified as Pramod was apprehended at a Dahi Handi competition held near Albert Ekka Chowk in Ranchi, Jharkhand, during the Krishna Janmashtami festival. The event drew a large crowd to witness the festivities, which included cultural performances alongside the main competition. Dignitaries present at the event included the Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Gangwar, the Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, and Ranchi MLA CP Singh. Amidst the celebrations, a person wearing a burqa was observed. Suspicion arose, and when the burqa was removed, it was revealed that the individual was a man. Pramod, a resident of Kishanganj in the Sukhdev Nagar police station area of Ranchi, was identified. Attendees at the Krishna Janmashtami celebration detained him and informed the Kotwali police station. The police subsequently took Pramod into custody and initiated an investigation into his actions.
