Police have apprehended Jayant Kumar Singh from the Sarnath police station area of Varanasi for allegedly threatening Jharkhand’s Health Minister, Dr. Irfan Ansari. The mobile phone used to make the threats has also been seized. The individual accused of threatening Dr. Irfan Ansari, the Health Minister of Jharkhand, is an MBBS student. An FIR was filed on Monday at the Steel City police station in Bokaro district after the threats were made. The complaint stated that the Health Minister, Dr. Irfan Ansari, received multiple calls from the same number. The caller threatened to teach him a lesson and kill him. Following the filing of the case, Jharkhand Police tracked the mobile number used to issue the threats. However, the accused, Jayant Kumar Singh, frequently changed his location. According to information, Jharkhand Police, with the assistance of the Sarnath police in Uttar Pradesh, arrested Jayant Kumar on Thursday while he was attempting to flee towards Ghazipur. During this operation, the police apprehended Jayant Kumar, who had threatened Dr. Irfan Ansari. The accused, Jayant Kumar, is an MBBS graduate and was preparing for a master’s degree in medicine. He also owns a house in Shillong, Meghalaya. He was apprehended near Audhihar via road transport bus.
