Mountain Regions Brace for Torrential Rain in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Jammu

High‑altitude areas are on high alert as the monsoon pushes moisture into the Himalayas. Uttarakhand districts such as Pithoragarh, Nainital, Chamoli and Rishikesh have been flagged for rain and strong winds. In Himachal Pradesh, constituencies including Chamba, Kinnaur, Shimla and Mandi could experience heavy downpours. Jammu and Kashmir’s mountainous zones are also warned of intense rain accompanied by gusty conditions, urging residents to secure property and avoid travel on vulnerable routes.
