Mountain Regions Brace for Torrential Rain and Strong Winds

The hill states are under a severe weather watch. In Uttarakhand, districts such as Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat, Tehri, and Pithoragarh are likely to experience intense rain. Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Chamba, Shimla and Hamirpur districts have also received heavy‑rain alerts. In Jammu & Kashmir, areas including Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Doda and Kishtwar may see rainfall accompanied by strong gusts.
