Ranchi. National Surgeon Week will be celebrated in the surgery department of RIMS Hospital in Ranchi from 09 to 15 June. During this special week, from health awareness to blood donation camps, saplings, vakathans, honors of doctors and educational programs will be organized.
On Friday, Dr. DK Sinha, Chairman of RIMS Surgery Department, gave a press conference and informed about the whole week’s programs. He said that its aim is to make the common people aware of health and to bring out the contribution of surgeons. During this time the poster was also released.
Several senior doctors from Ranchi and Jharkhand attended the press conference. Among them Prof. V.K. Jain, Dr. N.K. Jha, Dr. Sheetal Malua, Dr. R.R. Sinha, Dr. Pankaj Bodra and Dr. Satish Midha are included. At the same time, Dr. Arnav, Dr. Nalini, Dr. Shabnam and Dr. Pralaya were also present in the team of junior doctors.
There will be some special programs every day
– Wakathan (foot march) and street plays on 09 June
– Workshop organized on June 10 in collaboration with Radiology Department
– Blood donation camp organized on June 11, doctors, medical staff and students will participate
– Senior doctors will be honored on 12 June
– Plantation in RIMS campus on June 13, health checkup of doctors
– Quiz competition organized for PG students on 14 June
– ‘National Surgeon Day’ and closing ceremony organized on 15 June
