A 30-member team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been deployed in the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on July 3, 2025, to bolster disaster management and relief operations. This deployment follows a request from the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum, Karn Satyarthi, and was approved by the state’s disaster management department.
The team consists of 4 officers and 26 personnel. Their responsibilities include managing situations such as floods, waterlogging, gas leaks, rescue and relief efforts, and cases of drowning. The team’s immediate action led to a successful rescue at the Jadugora reservoir, approximately 30 kilometers from Jamshedpur, where an individual had fallen into the water.
