In a significant breakthrough towards making Jharkhand free of Naxalism and extremism, security forces have achieved a major success. Influenced by the Jharkhand government’s surrender and rehabilitation policy, nine extremists from the banned organization Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad (JJMP) surrendered on Monday in Latehar district, along with 12 advanced weapons. Over 20 lakh rupees in rewards had been announced for five of these extremists. Senior officers from the Jharkhand Police and CRPF were present during the surrender.
