Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, altered his travel plans during his recent Jharkhand visit. Initially scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation for national highway projects in Garhwa and then proceed to Ranchi for the inauguration of an elevated corridor, Gadkari instead went to Gaya before arriving in Ranchi. Gadkari arrived in Ranchi by plane earlier in the day and was greeted by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and other senior BJP leaders at Birsa Munda Airport. Following the Garhwa events, where he announced infrastructure projects worth Rs 2 lakh crore for Jharkhand, Gadkari was expected to return to Ranchi. However, he traveled to Gaya due to unfavorable weather conditions in Garhwa, which prevented his helicopter from taking off. A chartered plane was dispatched from Birsa Munda Airport to bring him to Ranchi, where he would later inaugurate the elevated corridor on Ratu Road.
