In a significant breakthrough, the West Singhbhum police have cracked the murder case of para teacher Mukru Devgam. Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with the crime. The arrested suspects have been identified as Soma Sundi, aged 25, Seenu Gaur, 20, and Mangal Karova, 20. Officials revealed that the incident occurred on November 29th in the Tonto police station area, near Purnapani Bazaar Tod. The victim, Mukru Devgam, 50, a resident of Purna Chaibasa, was attending the weekly market when the tragic event unfolded. A dispute over the consumption of ‘handiya’ (a local alcoholic beverage) escalated, leading the accused to assault Devgam with stones and sticks, resulting in his death. The perpetrators fled the scene immediately after the attack. Acting on the directives of the Superintendent of Police, a special team was formed under the leadership of Jagannathpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Raifal Murmu. With the assistance of the technical branch, the police swiftly apprehended the three suspects on November 30th in the village of Kenjra. During interrogation, all three confessed to their involvement in the murder. Following their confessions, the police also recovered blood-stained stones, a wooden stick, and the clothing worn by the accused during the commission of the crime.
