Heavy passenger crowds are expected on trains every year during Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath. A large number of people travel to their homes during the festivals. This time, the Railways has made extensive preparations in view of Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath. Preparations have been made by the Ranchi Railway Division. The Ranchi Railway Division has announced the operation of 14 special trains. These special trains will run to major destinations in Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh. A senior official of the Ranchi Railway Division said that for the first time, the division has decided to operate such a large number of trains. The division’s top priority is the safety of passengers. Preparations are being made accordingly. Special train schedules will be released soon. In addition, extra coaches will be added to the trains that are running regularly, so that passengers do not face the problem of shortage of tickets and seats. The Railways has prepared a special strategy for crowd and security management during this festive season. Task forces will be deployed at major stations. Additional RPF and GRP personnel will be deployed. Strict monitoring will be done on gate management and platform arrangements. Senior officials of the division will themselves look after the arrangements of the stations. Senior officials will be deployed on special duty at major stations so that passengers do not face any inconvenience during the journey and the trains are operated on time.
