A horrific road accident occurred on the Harmu Bypass Road, known as a VIP road, in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. A speeding car ran over 5 people near the BJP’s Jharkhand state office in Harmu, under the Argora police station area. This tragic incident has caused a sensation throughout the capital.
Three people died on the spot in the accident, while two others are seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital where they are fighting for their lives. The car driver was intoxicated with alcohol at the time of the accident.
After the horrific accident and the spot deaths of 3 people, people created a huge uproar. The angry crowd blocked the road by placing the bodies of the three on the road. After the incident on Harmu Road in the capital Ranchi, local people alleged that despite being a VIP road, it took an hour for the ambulance to reach the accident site. If the ambulance had arrived on time instead of being negligent, the lives of the deceased might have been saved. Three people, including a mother and daughter, died.
The accident was so severe that the speeding Fortuner car hit five people. After that, the car flew off the divider and hit a tree on the other side of the road. It is being said that the person in the Fortuner car was drunk. The angry crowd had taken the car driver into their custody, however, the Argora police station, which reached the spot in time, rescued the accused Fortuner car driver from the clutches of the crowd and took him into custody.
The angry people sitting on the road were pacified after much effort. After DSP PK Mishra of Hatia assured strict action against the accused, the crowd was removed from the road. DSP PK Mishra said that a speeding Fortuner was being driven carelessly. During this, an accident happened, as a result of which three people died, while two people are injured. The injured are being treated in the hospital. He also said that strict action will be taken against the accused.
