A shocking incident unfolded in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Saturday night, where a woman and her two children were discovered hanging in their apartment. The incident occurred in the Nageshwar Enclave apartment complex located in the Choria Toli area of Latma Road, under the jurisdiction of Jagannathpur police station. The police took possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination. The deceased were identified as Sanyukta Singh and her two minor children. They included a son, approximately 14 years old, and a daughter, around 12 years old. Sanyukta Singh had been living separately from her husband, Brijesh Singh. It is reported that the couple had been in conflict for a long time, with the matter also pending in court. Brijesh Singh currently resides in Bihar, while Sanyukta was living in this flat in Ranchi with her two children. According to local residents, the couple faced not only domestic disputes but also financial difficulties. It is suspected that Sanyukta took this drastic step with her children due to these circumstances. The incident came to light late Saturday when Brijesh Singh arrived at the flat with items for his children. He rang the doorbell repeatedly, but there was no response. Suspecting something amiss, he informed the neighbors and called the police. Upon receiving the information, the Jagannathpur police reached the spot. Upon entering the flat after breaking down the door, the police were shocked by the scene inside. The bodies of Sanyukta Singh and her two children were hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom. The police immediately sealed the crime scene and called the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) team for investigation. The FSL team collected evidence from the scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The police stated that an investigation is underway, and the preliminary findings suggest that the incident is a case of suicide due to domestic disputes and financial constraints. The incident has left the entire area in shock and silence. Locals are also deeply saddened by the tragic event. The police are now questioning Brijesh Singh and his relatives to ascertain the exact reason behind the suicide.
