Panic erupted in the Chanho police station area of Ranchi, Jharkhand, when police, acting on a tip-off, apprehended notorious criminal Sohail Khan and his girlfriend, Nandini Samant, during a vehicle check. A team led by the Rural SP Khalari DSP was conducting the check near Sos Chowk. A luxury car was stopped, and a search revealed a loaded pistol, ammunition, and ₹80,000 in cash. The couple, who were planning a major crime, were taken into custody before they could execute their plan. Sohail Khan, a resident of Garhwa, has a criminal history with 12 cases registered against him, including robbery and extortion. His girlfriend, Nandini Samant, hails from Dholpur, Rajasthan. The police also seized a Hyundai Creta car, loaded pistol, magazine with bullets, 8 live rounds, cash, gold rings, and two mobile phones, and two ATM cards.
