Ranchi Prodigy Ishank Singh Breaks Swimming Record Between Sri Lanka and India

Ishank Singh has shattered previous records by crossing the 29km Palk Strait in under ten hours. At only seven years of age, he completed the swim in 9 hours and 50 minutes, surpassing the earlier record held by 10-year-old Jai Jaswanth. Ishank's journey across the waters connecting Talaimannar and Dhanushkodi was the result of rigorous preparation. He trained for four to five hours daily at the Dhurwa Dam under the guidance of his coaches, Aman Jaiswal and Bajrang Kumar. Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, congratulated the young swimmer, calling it a 'golden achievement' for the nation.
