Ranchi is abuzz with wedding preparations as the auspicious season for marriages kicks off. Over 80 percent of banquet halls and hotels in the capital are already booked, with a surge in inquiries for upcoming wedding dates. Most venues and dharmashalas are fully occupied for the remaining auspicious days of the year. Venue operators note that a limited number of wedding dates in November and December have led to early bookings. The Chamber Banquet Sub-Committee Chairman confirmed a high volume of interest in booking halls, with over 80% of facilities in Ranchi already reserved for November and December. This festive period is also driving brisk sales in jewelry and clothing stores, with shoppers extending their purchases late into the evening. Despite fewer auspicious dates in 2025, sales have seen a significant increase. According to astrologers, there are only 13 wedding dates remaining in November and December, followed by 75 auspicious dates until July next year. Key auspicious dates for weddings include November 22, 23, 24, 29, and December 4, 5, with February 5, March 10, and March 14 also being highly favorable. The alignment of Jupiter, Venus, and the Sun is considered crucial for auspicious wedding timings, with the conjunction of Ravi and Guru deemed particularly beneficial.
