Tanushree Dwivedi, a young woman from Ranchi, is set to represent Jharkhand at the Batumi Open International Wushu Tournament 2025 in Georgia. The tournament is scheduled from August 1st to 6th, 2025, and Tanushree will depart on July 27th to participate. A student of B.Com at DSPMU (Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University) in Ranchi, Tanushree has been excelling in Wushu since her early school years. She credits her initiation into the sport to her sister and brother-in-law. She began competing at the sub-junior level in 2014, under the guidance of coach Deepak Gop at Morabadi ground in Ranchi. Her talent has led her to win several medals at national tournaments. She has won a bronze medal at the Sub Junior National Wushu Championship held in Jammu and Kashmir, a silver medal at the Junior Wushu National Championship in Fatehabad, Haryana, and a bronze medal at the Senior National Wushu Championship held in Pune, Maharashtra. Furthermore, she has secured two gold medals and one bronze medal at the Wushu Federation Cup in Ranchi’s Khelgaon, and a silver and a bronze medal at the Wushu Federation Cup in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. At the All India Inter University held in Jammu and Kashmir, Tanushree won a gold medal and a bronze medal. She comes from a family of three siblings, with her parents being Pankaj Kumar Dwivedi and Ragini Dwivedi.
