The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be held in Ranchi on June 27th. On the day of the Rath Yatra, Lord Jagannath, along with his siblings, will embark on a chariot to visit the Mausi Badi. Preparations are in full swing by the Jagannathpur Temple Committee and the district administration. The fair, which will last for nine days, is being set up with swings and shops. The Rath Yatra commences every year on the Dwitiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month and continues until Ekadashi Tithi. Thousands of devotees gather to pull the chariot of Lord Jagannath during this 10-day Rath Yatra. They also visit the temple and enjoy the fair, purchasing items of their choice. The Jagannath fair will conclude on July 6th on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi. This is known as Ghurti Rath Yatra.
