Deoghar/Ranchi A review meeting regarding the preparations for the upcoming State Shravani Fair, 2026, chaired by the Hon'ble Minister of Urban Development and Housing Department, Higher and Technical Education Department, Tourism, Art and Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Shri Sudivya Kumar, was held today in the auditorium of Deoghar Circuit House. During this, Deputy Commissioner Deoghar Shri Saurabh Kumar Bhuwaniya and Deputy Commissioner Dumka Shri Abhijit Sinha, one by one, informed about the various activities related to the facilities, security of devotees and use of new technologies, in addition to the various works to be done in the fair area department-wise, through a PPT.
During the meeting, the Hon'ble Minister of Urban Development and Housing Department, Higher and Technical Education Department, Tourism, Art and Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Shri Sudivya Kumar said that the date for the State Shravani Fair is fixed from July 30 to August 28. In such a situation, all preparations and facilities for the devotees in the entire fair area should be made perfect in every way by the 28th, so that the esteemed devotees coming from outside can have a smooth and safe offering of water, get a good experience, and then depart for their destinations. Also, regarding the convenience and security of devotees during the State Shravani Fair, he stated that VIP and VVIP darshan (out-of-turn darshan) will be completely closed, so that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the Shravani Fair. He said that on the 29th, the available tourist facilities in Deoghar and Dumka will be reviewed again. It is known that the world-famous Shravani Fair is the largest fair in the state of Jharkhand. In such a situation, it is the responsibility and accountability of all of us that devotees return from the city of Baba Baidyanath with sweet memories after visiting the fair. Further, during the departmental review of the preparations to be made during the State Shravani Fair, detailed discussions were held on the works to be carried out by the Electricity Supply, Road Construction Department, Municipal Corporation, Public Relations Department, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Tourism, Art and Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Health Department, Building Division, and Police Department.
■ Work with modern technology and dedication.... In the review meeting, directions were given to keep the facilities operational 24 hours a day, including OP, Traffic OP, Health Center, Information and Assistance Center, Electricity Center, Tourism Center, Maternity Waiting Home, for security purposes in the entire fair area, as well as tent cities, toilets, drinking water, bathrooms, dustbins, cleanliness, and waste disposal arrangements for the convenience of devotees. Also, directions were given to rectify the situation of protective measures and alternate lighting arrangements for street lighting, decoration, archways, and electricity supply in the fair area. Further, he instructed to improve and expand the accommodation facilities for devotees in the tent cities to be built at three locations, so that devotees do not face any inconvenience during their stay. In addition, with the aim of relieving heat and humidity, directions have been given to increase the number of mist cooling and Indra Varsha systems. Also, directions were given to the district-level officials and National Highway officials to coordinate and rectify the necessary arrangements to ensure that devotees do not face inconvenience in commuting between Deoghar and Basukinath. Further, he instructed to effectively use the feedback system through QR code in the fair area so that the district administration can be informed about the problems faced by the devotees, after which the concerned department can resolve the problems quickly. Besides this, keeping in mind the heat, directions were given to increase the number of Indra Varsha and Mist Cooling systems and to further improve health facilities in the fair area. Further, during the review meeting, the Hon'ble Minister gave necessary and appropriate directions to the officials and executive engineers of the concerned departments regarding the works to be done in addition to their allocated tasks.
■ Various modern technologies will be used during the Shravani Fair for the convenience of devotees.... During the State Shravani Fair, in the field of technology, AI-based Integrated Fair Control Room, AI-based Camera, Chatbot-Information Feedback & Helpline, AI-based Traffic Management System, around general cameras, AI-based drone, Television, Face Recognition Camera, Head Counting, High Quality ANPR Camera at various locations, QR-based Complaint System, Location-based Attendance System, and Digital Pavilion will be used.
