Shraddha ceremony honors late Rupi Soren with traditional offerings

Chief Minister Hemant Soren performed the shraddha rites for his mother, the late Rupi Soren, adhering to the customs passed down through generations. The ceremony, held at the Soren ancestral homestead, featured the ritual distribution of dakshina, water, and a simple vegetarian meal.

The CM expressed heartfelt reverence, recalling his mother’s influence on his life and political journey. He placed flowers and incense before a family altar, symbolising gratitude and remembrance.

The gathering highlighted the role of shraddha as a unifying practice among families across Jharkhand, reinforcing respect for elders and spiritual continuity.
